How It's Done

Most of these start off as a pencil sketch on paper, before being photographed or scanned to the computer. Then, using graphics software, I carefully trace over with vector lines and polygons.

Vectors are wonderful for me, because they can be smoothed and manipulated. Colours are added according to how I feel on the day.

They're inkjet printed on photographic art paper and mounted on DiBond for flatness and stability. A satin polyurethane coating adds protection and produces a softness that appeals to me.
